When I’m not writing…

I am a single mum to two incredible and very sporty boys, both of whom keep me on my toes!

During my spare time, I’ll often be nestled in the sunniest spot of my house, with my nose in a good book or absorbed in some portrait sketching. As a keen interior design enthusiast, I also love pottering around local charity shops for furniture and homeware bargains.

My back story

I am an experienced copywriter with a proven history of creating impactful copy for the charitable sector. It is my mission to help newly established charities raise their profile, clarify their messaging and connect with their target audience.

Having attained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Studies, I have long been drawn to issues of social justice, ethics and morality. During my studies I researched and wrote about many topics including gun violence, civil rights, global governance, health inequality, poverty, peace and conflict.

I believe that ALL charities have a story to tell and that even commissioned or legally required reports, will resonate better and create a more meaningful connection with their audience, if the stories of those they seek to help, sit at the very heart of them.

I know that good, persuasive copy can help to build a groundswell of support for a cause, create and sustain long-lasting relationships with stakeholders and supporters and convert public appreciation and awareness into measurable results.
